As of March 21, 2015 the instrumentation on the KES site are not all functioning. Issues to the parsivel during the first storm have caused the parsivel to fail. Though a short term solution at the moment is to use a car battery without the heater. Attention needs to be given to the snow accumulating on the parsivel, brushed off and recorded in the log during storms. We have installed a time lapse camera which should capture the buildup of snow in case of any odd looking data.
